  • The PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs program is made possible through the generosity of community donors, including parents, corporate sponsors, and other organizations who believe in our mission. Their support helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to discover their creativity, build confidence, and experience what it's like to be an entrepreneur. Thanks to this collective generosity, public schools can offer the program at no cost, making it accessible to as many young learners as possible. 

  • PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs inspires young minds and equips students with the skills, mindset, and adaptability needed to navigate an ever-changing landscape. Along the way, they explore creativity through brainstorming and design, build entrepreneurship skills by planning, pricing, and marketing their business, and practice financial literacy by managing real money. It’s a fun, hands-on project that encourages students to set ambitious goals, push their boundaries, and embrace innovative thinking. 

  • The program is designed to give students the best of both worlds. Each young entrepreneur makes their own independent decisions by choosing their product, setting prices, and managing their finances, thereby gaining confidence in their ability to take ownership and be responsible for their business. At the same time, students learn what it takes to collaborate and helping each other with ideas, feedback, problem-solving, and selling their products. This process helps them understand that being an entrepreneur means having the courage to lead while also valuing the strength of teamwork. 

  • Students keep 90% of the profits from their business, giving them a true sense of pride and ownership. The other 10% are donated to charity of their choice. If fact, some even choose to give back to our charity so more students can participate in PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs in the future. This teaches students the importance of generosity and community impact, while still allowing them to celebrate and enjoy the rewards of their hard work.

  • PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs celebrates diversity by creating space for every student’s voice and background to be valued. The program is easily adapted, making it simple for educators to personalize learning and meet diverse student needs. We collaborate with schools and communities, including Indigenous partners, to integrate local culture, traditions, and perspectives into the learning experience. This ensures the program is meaningful, inclusive, and reflective of students’ real-world identities and experiences. 

  • Yes! Many students are inspired to keep their businesses going after the program ends. Some continue selling their products at local markets, online, or within their communities. More importantly, the skills and confidence they gain through PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs often spark new ideas for products and services and open the door to future entrepreneurial projects. Even if students don’t continue with their original business, they carry forward the mindset, creativity, and resilience of an entrepreneur. 

  • Yes! We often offer special events and mentorship opportunities. If your child is interested in extended learning opportunities with PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs, please reach out to community@powerplay4success.com.

  • Children have a natural desire to challenge themselves, test their abilities and make their mark doing things they consider real and relevant to their lives. Research and trends in educational practice have shown that an early introduction to money management makes children more confident, goal-oriented and aware of their spending habits.

  • “Entrepreneurship” is not only a particular way of earning money, but a dynamic approach to going after one’s goals in life. By taking the initiative and pursuing what they want, entrepreneurial individuals develop key skills like communication, critical and creative thinking, organization and teamwork that are highly desirable in our 21st century job market. Whether they eventually work for themselves or for other people, an entrepreneurial mindset is key to success in today's global economy.
